THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 2-STROKE LUBRICANT OIL AND 4-STROKE LUBRICANT OIL
What is the difference between 2-stroke (2T) and 4-stroke (4T) motorbike lubricants?
Question: What is the difference between 2-stroke (2T) and 4-stroke (4T) motorbike lubricants? Is it harmful to the car if you use the wrong type of oil?
Answer: 2T and 4T engines are different in structure and lubrication type, so they need two completely different types of lubricants. 2T lubricant is mixed with gasoline in an appropriate ratio and enters the combustion chamber to lubricate the cylinder, piston, and piston rings, so it is burned with the fuel. It is an all-consuming type of lubrication, so the oil needs to be constantly replenished. 2T lubricant oil needs to be liquid to easily mix with gasoline (so 2T oil contains solvents). 2T oil must also burn cleanly to create less residue that can dirty pistons, pistons, piston rings and clog pipes. exhaust gas (tailpipe), so the additives used for 2T oil are also different from 4T oil. If you use 2T oil for a 4T vehicle, the engine will heat up, wear more and the oil seals may be damaged because of the solvent. On the contrary, if you use 4T oil for a 2T vehicle, the engine will have a lot of sludge, leading to wear and severe damage to the engine in a short time.
